The Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) is authorized to offer the Master in Public Safety Administration (MPSA).
The Philippine Public Safety College serves personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
Graduates are granted the rank of Career Executive Service Officer (CESO) VI with the corresponding salary grade 25 and other privileges in the Career Executive Services.
They are given preference in promotion to existing vacant positions and assignments to higher responsibilities, especially those involving policy administration in Public Safety Services.
The order is issued by the President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in him by law.
The program's pre-qualification requirements and Program of Instruction satisfy training and pre-qualification conditions necessary for appointment to the Career Executive Service, similar to the Master in National Security Administration of the National Defense College.
Executive Order No. 696, series of 1981, and Executive Order No. 771, series of 1982 are referenced regarding the grant of CESO rank to graduates of the Master in National Security Administration.
All conflicting executive orders, administrative orders, proclamations, rules, and regulations or parts thereof are repealed or modified accordingly.
It took effect immediately upon its signing on February 11, 1997.
