The Integrated History Act of 2016 mandates the inclusion of Filipino-Muslim and Indigenous Peoples' history, culture, and identity in the Philippine education curriculum to foster a more inclusive national narrative.

The short title is the “Integrated History Act of 2016.”

To create an inclusive history that accounts for all Filipinos by integrating Filipino-Muslim and Indigenous Peoples’ history, culture, and identity into the grand narrative of Philippine history.

The history, culture, and identity studies of Filipino-Muslims and Indigenous Peoples in the study of Philippine history.

It refers to incorporating the histories, cultures, and identities of Filipino-Muslims and Indigenous Peoples into the mainstream/national narrative of Philippine history in educational instruction and materials.

Both basic education and higher education, specifically in the study of Philippine history.

“Agencies concerned” involved in formulating the curriculum and in writing/printing/publication of materials related to Philippine history (as stated in Section 3).

Recognized experts on Filipino-Muslims and Indigenous Peoples’ history, culture, and identity.

To ensure that the curriculum and related learning materials accurately and appropriately integrate Filipino-Muslim and Indigenous Peoples’ histories, cultures, and identities.

In the formulation of the curriculum for inclusive study—including the writing, printing, and publication of textbooks and other reading materials relative thereto—the agencies concerned shall consult recognized experts on Filipino-Muslims and Indigenous Peoples’ history, culture and identity.

To repeal, revoke, or modify any provision of law or regulation inconsistent with RA 10908.

If any provision is declared unconstitutional or inoperative, the other provisions remain in force and effect.

Fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

It lapsed into law on July 21, 2016 without the signature of the President, consistent with Article VI, Section 27(1) of the Constitution.

Senate Bill No. 3205 was adopted as an amendment to House Bill No. 4832 by the House of Representatives on May 23, 2016, after approval by the Senate on May 23, 2016.
