The Barangay Basak-San Nicolas Extension Hospital in Basak, City of Cebu was separated from the Don Vicente Sotto Medical Center to create the Saint Anthony Mother and Child Hospital.
The Saint Anthony Mother and Child Hospital is a twenty-five-bed hospital.
The Hospital shall primarily provide medical, maternity, and pediatric care to the urban poor in Region VII, particularly in Cebu City.
All assets, fixed and movable, records, as well as the liabilities or obligations of Barangay Basak-San Nicolas Extension Hospital, are transferred to the Saint Anthony Mother and Child Hospital.
The Department of Health is responsible for determining the staffing pattern and salaries according to the salary standardization law and civil service rules and regulations.
The Commission on Audit or its duly authorized representative audits the accounts and expenses of the Hospital.
All parcels of land belonging to the government and occupied by the former Barangay Basak-San Nicolas Extension Hospital are declared the property of the Saint Anthony Mother and Child Hospital and shall be titled under that name.
The amount necessary to implement the Act shall be charged against the current fiscal year's appropriation of the Basak-San Nicolas Extension Hospital under the Department of Health, and subsequent appropriations shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
