PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1103

: The main purpose of Republic Act No. 6320 is to establish a National Trade School in the City of General Santos, known as the General Santos National Trade School, and to authorize the appropriation of funds for its establishment, operation, and maintenance.
: The site for the General Santos National Trade School shall be in the City of General Santos; it must be at least eight hectares, well drained, and preferably rectangular in shape.
: The school shall be under the supervision of the Bureau of Vocational Education.
: Only a general education curriculum with practical arts is to be offered in the first and second years.
: A vocational education curriculum will be offered in the third and fourth years.
: Yes, the school shall offer short vocational courses for training in vocations needed in the locality, which shall be open to elementary school graduates.
: Yes, the school shall open, as soon as feasible, two-year post-secondary technical courses.
: An initial sum of five hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated from the National Treasury out of funds not otherwise appropriated.
: Operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
: The Act took effect upon its approval on June 19, 1971, and it was enacted without Executive approval.
