Republic Act No. 6587

: The primary purpose of Republic Act No. 6587 is to establish a national vocational school in the Municipality of Nasipit, Province of Agusan del Norte, known as Nasipit National Vocational School, and authorize the appropriation of funds for its establishment, operation, and maintenance.
: The Nasipit National Vocational School is established under the direct supervision of the Director of Vocational Education.
: Only a general education curriculum with practical arts shall be offered in the first and second years.
: The vocational education curriculum shall be offered in the third and fourth years.
: The school is mandated to offer short vocational courses for training in vocations needed in the locality to elementary school graduates, and as soon as feasible, two-year post-secondary technical courses.
: Elementary school graduates in the locality who need vocational training.
: The sum of two hundred fifty thousand pesos was initially appropriated out of the National Treasury for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the school for the fiscal year 1971.
: Future funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
: The Act took effect upon its approval on September 30, 1972.
: It was enacted without executive approval.
