The Naneng National High School – Mosimos Extension in Barangay Dupag is separated from the Naneng National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Dupag National High School (DNHS).
They are transferred to and absorbed by DNHS.
DepEd must immediately include DNHS in its program of expenditures and provide basic education inputs necessary for DNHS operations, compliant with minimum service standards and appropriate to learner and teacher needs. DNHS must also be included in systems such as EBEIS and LIS.
Examples include adequate instructional rooms such as academic classrooms, computer rooms, science laboratory and workshop rooms; and ancillary facilities like multi-purpose rooms, library, and clinic. The IRR also mentions instructional materials, tools, equipment, furniture, and water and sanitation facilities.
The School Head is appointed and compensated in accordance with RA 9155, Civil Service laws, and other applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
The School Head must be both an instructional leader and an administrative manager.
The IRR lists responsibilities such as: setting the school’s mission/vision/goals/objectives; creating an environment conducive to teaching and learning; implementing the school curriculum and being accountable for higher learning outcomes; developing the school education program and school improvement plan; administering and managing personnel, physical and fiscal resources; and recommending the staffing complement. The IRR also includes offering equitable opportunities, encouraging staff development, establishing networks, and accepting reportable donations/grants.
DepEd must create items and recruit/deploy the necessary teaching and non-teaching personnel in DNHS, consistent with guidelines and standards on authorized manpower and staffing complement for public schools, including hiring guidelines for teachers and Learning Support Aides (LSAs), and consistent with standards from DBM, CSC, and other relevant agencies.
DNHS must implement the basic education curriculum formulated and designed by DepEd, following standards and principles under Section 10, Rule II of the IRR of RA 10533 and other pertinent DepEd issuances.
DNHS performance is to be closely monitored and reported by the concerned DepEd division and regional offices, consistent with SBM and operationalization of public basic education schools.
Initial funding is charged against the current year’s appropriation of the Naneng National High School – Mosimos Extension. Thereafter, amounts necessary for continued operation must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of the IRR is declared unconstitutional, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Amendments must be promulgated by the Secretary of DepEd, and to the extent applicable, amendments are made in consultation with DNHS.
All DepEd orders and other related issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with the IRR are repealed, rescinded, or modified accordingly.
It takes fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. It must also be registered with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR) at the UP Law Center, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
