The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has the administrative jurisdiction over the Bulalacao Port Zone.
The Bulalacao Port Zone is located in Sitio Kabangkalan, Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Bulalacao, Province of Oriental Mindoro.
Section 5, Article IV of Presidential Decree No. 857, the Revised Charter of the Philippine Ports Authority, authorizes this.
The Bulalacao Port Zone contains an area of eight hundred fifty-six thousand four hundred three (856,403) square meters, more or less.
The Port of Bulalacao is expected to play a major role in RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) operations in the province, serving as an alternative port to the Port of Roxas.
Section 3 of Executive Order No. 410 (s. 1990) provides the guidelines which require joint recommendation by the Philippine Ports Authority and the Regional Development Council, and submission directly to the Office of the President.
All issuances, orders, rules, and regulations or parts inconsistent with Executive Order No. 159 are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly by the Repealing Clause (Section 3).
Section 4 contains the Separability Clause which states that if any provision is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the other provisions not affected shall remain valid and subsisting.
Executive Order No. 159 took effect immediately upon its signing on February 14, 2014.
