The rates of customs brokerage fees are governed pursuant to Section 651 of the Revised Administrative Code and Section 608 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines (TCCP), as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1464.
The rates apply to shipments cleared by customs brokers and brokerage firms that are covered by Formal/Warehousing Entries and Transshipment.
For a shipment valued over P10,000 to P20,000, the new customs brokerage fee is P2,000 per entry.
For shipments over P200,000, the fee is P5,300 on the first P200,000 plus three-eighths of one percent (0.375%) on the amount in excess thereof.
The fees for Informal Entries range from P469.22 to P700 per entry.
For export declarations, the fee is one-half of the rates specified for Formal/Warehousing Entries and Transshipment.
The fees for both obtaining shipside permits and transfer permits range from P885.95 to P1,300.
Complete withdrawal fees are P2,000, whereas partial withdrawal fees are P1,500 for every withdrawal under the new rates.
The order took effect fifteen (15) days after its approval on May 21, 2001, and its publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.
The order was adopted by Commissioner Titus B. Villanueva and approved by Secretary of Finance Alberto G. Romulo.
