Republic Act No. 6842 establishes the Municipality of San Jose in Tarlac, separating certain barangays from the Municipality of Tarlac and appointing officials to govern the new municipality until June 30, 1992.

Republic Act No. 6842 created the Municipality of San Jose in the Province of Tarlac.

Barangays Burgos, Iba, Labney, Lawacamulag, David, Lubigan, Maamot, Mababanaba, Moriones, Pao, San Juan de Valdez, Sula, and Villa Aglipay.
