Presidential Decree No. 1243, issued on November 17, 1977, creates the Municipality of Bumbaran in the Province of Lanao del Sur by segregating certain barangays from the Municipality of Wao.
The barangays separated are Sumiorang, Ilama, Mansilano, Lico, Ranao-Baning, Aparport, Punud, Lambanogan, Frankfort, Borantacan, Simogot, Pagalamatan, Sigua-an, Salam, Comara, Natangcopan, Bandara-Ingud, Miorod, Pagona-yan, and Bagombayan.
The seat of government of the Municipality of Bumbaran shall be Barangay Aparport.
They shall perform their duties in the new municipality until their successors have been duly appointed or elected, unless sooner removed at the pleasure of the President.
The corresponding share of the Municipality of Bumbaran in these assets and obligations shall be transferred to it upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.
Officials and employees shall be appointed in the manner provided under existing laws by the President.
The municipality is bounded on the east by the mother municipality of Wao and follows specific boundary lines drawn from Point-1 to Point-4, including the Maladugao River and Lanao-Cotabato Boundary.
To enhance progress and development, maintain peace and order effectively, and to exploit the agricultural potential of the area.
They are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly to align with this decree.
