Republic Act No. 4734 is an act creating the Subprovince of Quirino in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.

The municipalities of Diffun, Saguday, Aglipay, and Maddela are constituted as the Subprovince of Quirino.

The seat of government shall be either in the Municipality of Saguday or Diffun, to be selected by the Provincial Board, and it shall be called Cabarroguis.

The Provincial Board has the authority to select the site of the seat of government and may transfer it or create a new one within one year from the Act's effectivity by a two-thirds vote.

Sections 2137, 2138, 2139, 2140, 2141, 2142, and 2143 of the Administrative Code, as amended, apply to the Subprovince of Quirino.

The Subprovince of Quirino shall constitute a separate engineering district and a separate school division.

When circumstances warrant and upon the petition of the lieutenant governor with the prior approval of the Provincial Governor, other provincial offices may detail officials to serve in the Subprovince's seat of government.

The Provincial Board shall fix the compensation of the lieutenant governor and other employees and officials of the subprovince.

The first lieutenant-governor shall be elected in the general elections of 1967.

Other sub-provincial officials shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws or regulations.

The Act took effect upon its approval on June 18, 1966.
