It divides the existing Province of Misamis into two provinces: Oriental Misamis and Occidental Misamis.
Balingasag, Cagayan, Gingoog, Initao, Salay, Quinoguitan, Talisayan, Tagoloan, and the island of Camiguin (including its municipalities and adjacent small islands), plus the municipal districts of Claveria, Lourdes, and Napiliran.
Baliangao, Plaridel, Lopez Jaena, Oroquieta, Aloran, Jimenez, Tudela, Clarin, and Misamis.
Cagayan.
It is designated by the majority of the municipal presidents and members of the councils of municipalities of Occidental Misamis in a convention called by the provincial governor, held not later than ten days after the constitution of the province.
All provisions of law now or hereafter applicable to regular provinces shall apply to both Oriental Misamis and Occidental Misamis.
They continue to govern Oriental Misamis until their successors are elected and qualified; specific officials (provincial governor, treasurer, fiscal) continue to receive their current salaries until readjustment under existing law.
They are appointed by the Governor-General with the advice and consent of the Senate, and they hold office until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
They receive annual compensation in accordance with the rules established in Act No. 2829.
Not to exceed fifteen pesos for each day of session actually attended.
Each province has one Representative; specifically, the present Representative for the First District of Misamis becomes the Representative for Oriental Misamis, and the Representative for the Second District becomes the Representative for Occidental Misamis.
They shall be distributed equitably between the two provinces, in a manner recommended by the Insular Auditor and approved by the Governor-General.
Act No. 3354 is repealed.
All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of Act No. 3537.
