The barangays included are Aguinaldo, Banbanon, Binasbas, Cebulida, Ilpapa, Kaligutan, Kapatagan, Kidawa, Kilagding, Kiokmay, La-ac, Langtud, Longanapan, Naga, and San Antonio. The sitios included are Sabud, Imelda, Mangloy, Mabuhay, Macopa, Inacayan, Andap, Sta. Emelia, Limot, Anitap, Bel Monte, and Ampawid.
They were separated from the Municipality of Asuncion, Province of Davao del Norte.
The territory begins at point PBM No. 1 along the line of Agusan del Sur and Davao, extending through described points adjoining municipalities such as Monkayo, Montevista, Asuncion, and Kapalong, containing an area of approximately 76,800 hectares.
The seat of government is located in the barangay of La-ac.
After ratification by the majority of votes cast in a plebiscite conducted within 90 days after the approval of the Act, the President (Prime Minister) shall appoint the Mayor and members of the Sangguniang Bayan of the new municipality.
It begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of its officers.
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
The President (Prime Minister) has the authority to appoint these officials after the plebiscite.
The plebiscite must be conducted within ninety (90) days after the approval of the Act.
