The main purpose of Batas Pambansa Blg. 786 is to constitute the sitios of Paalaman, Tatlong Pulo, Calumpit, Supot, Bukal, and La Mesang Bato, all part of Barangay Special District in the Municipality of Jalajala, Province of Rizal, into a new barangay to be known as Barangay Paalaman.
The sitios separated from Barangay Special District to form Barangay Paalaman are Paalaman, Tatlong Pulo, Calumpit, Supot, Bukal, and La Mesang Bato.
Barangay Paalaman includes the area bounded by the eastern part of Barangay Sipsipin, Barangay Bagumbong, Barangay Special District, and Barangay Lubo.
Barangay Paalaman must be ratified by a majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite conducted in the affected area within 120 days from the approval of the Act.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is responsible for conducting and supervising the plebiscite.
The plebiscite must be conducted within one hundred twenty (120) days from the approval of the Act.
The President of the Philippines shall appoint the first officials of Barangay Paalaman after the plebiscite results favor its creation.
The appointed officials hold office until their successors have been elected and qualified in the next regular barangay election.
The expenses for the plebiscite shall be charged to the appropriations of the Commission on Elections as provided in the current annual General Appropriations Act for plebiscites.
This Act takes effect upon its approval, which was on April 27, 1984.
