RA 9360 amends Republic Act No. 8973, also known as the Charter of the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
RA 9360 divides the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay into two (2) congressional districts.
The First Congressional District of Zamboanga Sibugay includes Buug, Diplahan, Malangas, Imelda, Alicia, Mabuhay, Olutanga, Talusan, and Payao.
The Second Congressional District includes Siay, Kabasalan, Naga, Ipil, Tiotay, R. T. Lim, and Tungawan.
The Province of Zamboanga del Sur retains its two legislative districts but with specified municipalities different from those in Zamboanga Sibugay.
The First Legislative District of Zamboanga del Sur includes Pagadian City, Labangan, Tukuran, Aurora, Molave, Mahayag, Dumingag, Sominot, Midsalip, Ramon Magsaysay, Tambulig, and Josefina.
The Second Legislative District of Zamboanga del Sur consists of Bayog, Lakewood, Kumalarang, Tigbao, Dumalinao, Guipos, San Miguel, Lapuyan, Margosatubig, Dinas, San Pablo, Tabina, Dimataling, Vincenzo Sagun, and Pitogo.
RA 9360 took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines.
All laws, executive orders, regulations, or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of RA 9360 are repealed or modified accordingly.
