The purpose is to create the independent Municipality of Padre Burgos in the Province of Leyte by segregating certain barrios and sitios from the municipalities of Malitbog and Macrohon.
The barrios of Burgos, Santo Rosario, San Juan, Triana, and the sitios of Lungsodaan, Bunga, Capiniahan, and Magallanes from Malitbog, and the sitio of San Bernardo from Macrohon.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
The seat of government is the barrio of Burgos.
It begins to exist upon the appointment and qualification of its mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors, and upon certification by the Secretary of Finance that it is financially capable of fulfilling its obligations.
Certification that the Municipality of Padre Burgos is financially capable of implementing the Minimum Wage Law, meeting all statutory obligations, and providing essential municipal services, and that the mother municipalities can still maintain their respective governments and obligations.
It must be financially capable of implementing the Minimum Wage Law, providing for all statutory obligations, and delivering ordinary essential services of a regular municipality.
Their territories are reduced by the portions segregated to form the Municipality of Padre Burgos.
They must still be able to maintain their municipal governments, meet all statutory and contractual obligations, and provide essential municipal services.
