The main purpose of Republic Act No. 11527 is to separate the Tabuk City National High School-Bantay Extension in Barangay Bantay, Tabuk City, Province of Kalinga from the Tabuk City National High School and convert it into an independent national high school called Bantay National High School.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Tabuk City National High School-Bantay Extension are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Bantay National High School.
The Secretary of Education is responsible for immediately including the operationalization of Bantay National High School in the Department of Education's program.
The initial funding of the Bantay National High School shall be charged against the current year’s appropriation of the Tabuk City National High School-Bantay Extension.
The continued operation of the Bantay National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act for sufficient appropriations in subsequent years.
The Secretary of Education must formulate rules and regulations within one hundred twenty (120) days after the approval of the Act.
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
