The main purpose is to convert the San Lorenzo Ruiz Women's Hospital in Malabon City, Metro Manila into a general hospital named San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital, increasing its bed capacity from ten to two hundred beds and appropriating funds for this purpose.
The authorized bed capacity is increased from ten (10) beds to two hundred (200) beds.
The existing professional health care services, facilities, and health human resources must be upgraded to conform and be commensurate with the increased bed capacity.
It should be implemented consistent with the hospital's five (5)-year development plan.
The Secretary of Health is tasked to include the implementation of this Act in the Department's programs.
Funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Within ninety (90) days from the approval of the Act.
The Secretary of Health must consult the Secretary of Budget and Management.
The remaining parts or provisions not affected by the declaration of unconstitutionality shall remain in full force and effect.
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
All laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules, and regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.
