Republic Act No. 9960 is an act separating the Pantukan National High School - Tagugpo Annex in Barangay Tagugpo, Municipality of Pantukan, Province of Compostela Valley from the Pantukan National High School and converting it into an independent national high school known as Tagugpo National High School.
Republic Act No. 9960 was approved on January 15, 2010.
The new name of the separated school is Tagugpo National High School.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Pantukan National High School - Tagugpo Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Tagugpo National High School.
The Secretary of Education is responsible for immediately including the operationalization of Tagugpo National High School in the Department of Education's program.
The initial funding for the operationalization of Tagugpo National High School shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Pantukan National High School - Tagugpo Annex.
The amount necessary for the continued operation of Tagugpo National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The Secretary of Education is authorized to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.
Republic Act No. 9960 shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
