RA 11657 separates the Libudon National High School – Sanghay Extension in Barangay Sanghay, Mati City, Davao Oriental from the Libudon National High School and converts it into an independent national high school known as Sanghay National High School.
The independent national high school is to be known as Sanghay National High School.
All personnel are transferred to and absorbed by the Sanghay National High School.
Section 2 provides that all assets, liabilities, and records of the Libudon National High School – Sanghay Extension are transferred to and absorbed by Sanghay National High School.
The Secretary of Education is mandated to include in the Department’s program the operationalization of the Sanghay National High School. Initial funding shall be charged against the current year’s appropriation for the Libudon National High School – Sanghay Extension.
After the initial funding, the amount necessary for continued operation must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Within sixty (60) days after the approval of the Act, the Secretary of Education must formulate the rules and regulations implementing its provisions.
It takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

The Act originated in the House of Representatives and was passed by the House on September 22, 2021 and by the Senate on December 13, 2021.
