Republic Act No. 11661 is an act separating the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School - Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension in Barangay Guinlajon, Sorsogon City, from the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School and converting it into an independent senior high school known as Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School.
Republic Act No. 11661 was approved on March 24, 2022.
Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School is created as an independent senior high school.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School - Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School.
The Secretary of Education is responsible for including the operationalization of Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School in the Department's program.
The initial funding shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School - Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension.
The funding necessary for the continued operation will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act thereafter.
The Secretary of Education must promulgate the rules and regulations within sixty (60) days after approval of this Act.
The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
It is located in Barangay Guinlajon, West District, Sorsogon City, Province of Sorsogon.
