Republic Act No. 11654 is an Act separating the Arcelio Memorial National High School - Liloan National High School Annex in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Liloan, Province of Cebu from the Arcelio Memorial National High School, and converting it into an independent national high school to be known as Liloan National High School.
It was approved on March 11, 2022.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Liloan National High School.
The Secretary of Education is tasked with immediately including the operationalization of Liloan National High School into the Department’s program.
The initial funding shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the Arcelio Memorial National High School - Liloan National High School Annex.
The amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The Secretary of Education shall formulate the rules and regulations within sixty (60) days after the approval of the Act.
The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
The Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled enacted Republic Act No. 11654.
By converting the annex into an independent national high school, it gains operational and administrative independence, allowing for more focused management and resource allocation specific to the needs of Liloan National High School.
