Republic Act No. 9676

: The main purpose of Republic Act No. 9676 is to separate the Caloocan City Science High School - CHS Annex in Barangay 62, City of Caloocan from the Caloocan High School (CHS) and convert it into an independent science high school known as Caloocan City Science High School.
: The new independent Caloocan City Science High School is located in Barangay Sixty-Two (62), City of Caloocan.
: All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Caloocan Science High School - CHS Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the newly established Caloocan City Science High School.
: The Secretary of Education is responsible for including the Caloocan City Science High School in the Department of Education's program.
: The initial funding for the operationalization of the Caloocan City Science High School shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Caloocan City Science High School - CHS Annex.
: The amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
: The Secretary of Education shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of the Act.
: The Act took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
: The House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines approved Republic Act No. 9676.
: The law was signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
