The main purpose of Batas Pambansa Blg. 447 is to convert the Occidental Mindoro High School in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro into a national high school to be known as the Occidental Mindoro National High School.
The Occidental Mindoro National High School is mandated to offer a curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is empowered to organize the Occidental Mindoro National High School.
Upon the organization of the Occidental Mindoro National High School, all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment, and records of the Occidental Mindoro High School shall be transferred to the Occidental Mindoro National High School.
The Occidental Mindoro National High School should be in operation beginning the first school term after the effectivity of the law.
An initial amount of one hundred thousand pesos is appropriated for the operation of the school.
The initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos shall come from appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools.
An additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of the school's share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before conversion will be released from the national assistance fund to local schools for its operation.
After the initial funding, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Batas Pambansa Blg. 447 took effect upon its approval on June 10, 1983.
