Question & AnswerQ&A (PHIC PHILHEALTH CIRCULAR NO. 16. S. 2010)
The purpose of the circular is to inform that the CIS Bayad Center Inc. (CBCI) has become an accredited collecting agent for PhilHealth premium payments, providing members better accessibility and convenience in remitting their premiums.
CIS Bayad Center Inc. (CBCI), a non-bank collecting agent, is authorized to collect PhilHealth premium payments from Individually Paying Members (IPM).
The duly validated CBCI Payment Form, which includes essential payment details, serves as proof of premium payments of NHIP members.
The validated CBCI Payment Form must indicate the Payor's Name, PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN), Full Name of the Member, Applicable Period, Member Type, Date, and Amount Paid.
CBCI became an accredited collecting agent effective March 4, 2010.
Premium payments are collected from Individually Paying Members (IPM) who possess a PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN).
The PIN is used to identify the member whose premium payment is being made and must be indicated on the CBCI Payment Form to properly track payment and membership status.
By accrediting CBCI as a collecting agent, PhilHealth provides members with more options and convenience for remitting premium contributions through Bayad Center outlets.
The Collection Remittance Agreement (CRA) is the contractual basis that governs CBCI's responsibilities and obligations as a collecting agent for PhilHealth.
