The main purpose of Republic Act No. 7834 is to establish a school of arts and trades in Baguio City, to be known as the Baguio City School of Arts and Trades, under the supervision of TESDA.
The Baguio City School of Arts and Trades will operate under the supervision of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The TESDA Chairman is tasked to issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of the Act within ninety (90) days after its effectivity.
Any violation of this section will render the concerned official or officials liable under Republic Act No. 6713, known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, as well as other administrative and/or criminal laws.
The funding necessary to carry out the provisions of the Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment, and subsequent sums for operation and maintenance will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The Act took effect upon its approval on December 11, 1994.
