EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 05

: The title is 'Approving and Adopting the Twenty-Five-Year Long Term Vision Entitled Ambisyon Natin 2040 as Guide for Development Planning.'
: It relies on the 1987 Philippine Constitution which mandates the independent economic and planning agency of the government to implement continuing, integrated and coordinated programs and policies for national development.
: The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).
: By 2040, the Philippines shall be a prosperous, predominantly middle-class society where no one is poor; the people shall live long and healthy lives, be smart and innovative, and live in a high-trust society.
: To triple real per capita incomes and eradicate hunger and poverty by 2040, if not sooner.
: Twenty-five years, from 2016 until 2040.
: All plans of government departments, offices, and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations and local government units, shall be consistent with Ambisyon Natin 2040.
: They are crafted and implemented until 2040 and are anchored on Ambisyon Natin 2040 and its overall goals. The PDPs ensure sustainability and consistency of strategies, policies, programs, and projects across political administrations.
: The other provisions not affected thereby shall remain valid and subsisting as stated in the Separability Clause.
: It took effect immediately upon publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
