The main purpose of Republic Act No. 11796 is to separate the Datu Danwata Elementary School - TFS of Balis Extension in Barangay Datu Danwata, Municipality of Malita, Province of Davao Occidental from the Datu Danwata Elementary School and convert it into an independent elementary school to be known as Balis Elementary School.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Datu Danwata Elementary School - TFS of Balis Extension are transferred to and absorbed by the newly created Balis Elementary School.
The Secretary of Education is tasked with including the operationalization of Balis Elementary School in the Department's program.
The initial funding for Balis Elementary School shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the Datu Danwata Elementary School - TFS of Balis Extension.
After the initial funding, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the Balis Elementary School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The Secretary of Education must promulgate the rules and regulations within sixty (60) days after the approval of the Act.
The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
