Republic Act No. 9265 is an act creating the Municipality of San Isidro in the Province of Davao del Norte.

The seat of government of the Municipality of San Isidro is Barangay Sawata.

Barangays Sawata, Sabangan, Mamangan, Sto. Niño, Igangon, and Kipalili from the Municipality of Asuncion are included in the Municipality of San Isidro.

Barangays Dacudao, Datu Balong, Libuton, Pinamuno, Monte Dujali, Linao, and San Miguel from the Municipality of Kapalong are included.

The Municipality of San Isidro is bounded on the north by the Municipality of Kapalong; on the south by the Municipalities of Kapalong and Asuncion; on the east by the Province of Compostela Valley; and on the west by the Municipality of Kapalong.

It shall acquire corporate existence upon the ratification of its creation by a majority of the votes cast by qualified voters in a plebiscite conducted within thirty (30) days from the approval of the Act.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is responsible for conducting and supervising the plebiscite.

Upon ratification of the creation, the mayor, vice mayor, and members of the sangguniang bayan shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines, in consultation with the congressional district representative and the provincial governor, serving until the next local elections.

During the first year, the Municipality of San Isidro will receive the IRA shares of the barangays comprising it from the Department of Budget and Management.

The territorial jurisdiction remains with the local government unit currently exercising administrative supervision until final resolution by the appropriate agency or forum.
