Republic Act No. 8668 is about converting the Mansilingan National High School in the City of Bacolod, Province of Negros Occidental, into an agro-industrial high school known as the Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School.
Republic Act No. 8668 lapsed into law on June 25, 1998, without the signature of the President.
The new name is Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School.
It will provide technical and special instructions for special purposes, courses in agriculture and technology, as well as short-term technical and vocational courses.
The courses will be subject to the policies of the Bureau of Vocational and Technical Courses of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.
The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports is directed to take such steps.
The amount necessary for implementation shall be charged to the appropriations of the Mansilingan National High School under the current General Appropriations Act, and thereafter, sums for continued operation shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The school will continue its present secondary offerings in addition to the new technical, agricultural, and vocational courses.
The Act shall take effect upon its approval.
It is located in the City of Bacolod, Province of Negros Occidental.
