The clothing allowance for a grantee or trainee for tropical zones is $300 for the duration of 24 months and below.
A clothing allowance shall not be granted more often than once every twenty-four (24) months.
The grantee must live up to the terms and conditions of the grant, conduct themselves properly to avoid disgrace or dishonor, keep up with academic or accomplishment standards, submit official transcripts to their office and committee quarterly or per semester, return immediately after the termination of their scholarship/training, submit a report within 60 days after return, provide a re-entry plan after six months of training, and serve their office or government office for a specified period according to the length and nature of training.
The grantee must serve the government office or other government instrumentality for 2 years after completing academic training for one year or more.
Failure to fulfill these obligations is sufficient cause for cancellation of the scholarship/training grant and recall of the grantee. If the failure is due to the grantee's own fault or willful neglect, they must refund all expenses.
The grantee must refund in full to their agency the amount defrayed for expenses related to their scholarship/training as determined by the Committee.
Yes, the Committee allows a proportionate refund when the grantee has served at least 75% of the total service obligation, with payment terms determined by the agency and confirmed by the Special Committee on Scholarships.
