The main purpose of Republic Act No. 10394 is to convert seven branches of the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City, which are located in Taguig City, into the Regional Trial Court of Taguig City, Metro Manila.
Seven branches under the jurisdiction of the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City located in Taguig City are converted into the Regional Trial Court of Taguig City.
The Supreme Court has the authority to assign the branch numbers of the newly-converted branches of the Regional Trial Court in the National Capital Judicial Region.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, shall immediately include in the Court's program the operationalization of the seven newly-converted branches of the RTC of Taguig City and ensure funding in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Funds shall be appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the courts and the appointment of their personnel.
Section 14, paragraph (d) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980, as amended, is amended by this Act.
All other laws, rules and regulations which are inconsistent with this Act are amended, repealed or modified accordingly.
This Act took effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
