The main purpose of Republic Act No. 10362 is to create an additional Regional Trial Court branch in the Municipality of Trento, Province of Agusan del Sur, in the Tenth Judicial Region.
The newly created Regional Trial Court branch will belong to the Tenth Judicial Region.
The Supreme Court has the authority to assign the branch number of the newly created Regional Trial Court branch.
Section 14, paragraph (k) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 is amended by this Act.
Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 is otherwise known as The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, is responsible for the operationalization of the additional Regional Trial Court branch.
The funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act and appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the Court and the appointment of its personnel.
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
All laws, rules and regulations inconsistent with Republic Act No. 10362 are amended, repealed or modified accordingly.
The Supreme Court is tasked with assigning the branch number to the newly created RTC branch and coordinating with the Department of Justice for its operationalization and funding.
