The law is Republic Act No. 352, approved on June 4, 1949.
It further amends Act No. 2578 (as amended by Act No. 3095) to convert the UP School of Forestry into the UP College of Forestry.
The “School of Forestry” of the University of the Philippines is converted into the “College of Forestry.”
The College of Forestry shall embrace all work hitherto carried on in the School of Forestry of the UP.
It is created as a college of the University of the Philippines to be known as the “College of Forestry.”
It amends Act No. 2578, as amended by Act No. 3095.
The Director of Forestry shall be ex-officio Dean of the College of Forestry.
No. He serves as ex-officio Dean without additional compensation.
He is authorized to detail, for part-time instruction, regular members of the Bureau of Forestry as necessary for giving instruction to students.
All previously conducted work under the School of Forestry is continued within the new College of Forestry.
Part-time instruction may be given by regular members of the Bureau of Forestry, who may be detailed by the Director of Forestry as authorized by the law.
It takes effect upon its approval.
The Director of Forestry automatically becomes the Dean of the College of Forestry by virtue of his office (ex-officio).
