PD No. 1022 is issued by President Ferdinand E. Marcos by virtue of powers vested by the Constitution, to effect needed corrections of typographical errors and minor amendments to provisions of existing law—specifically, to amend Sections 6 and 7 of PD No. 1006.
PD No. 1022 amended (1) the last paragraph of Section 6, and (2) Section 7 of PD No. 1006.
The amended last paragraph of Section 6 states that these offices shall screen and approve applications and issue the corresponding permits to take the examination to qualified applicants.
It emphasizes that application screening and approval are prerequisites before an applicant may be issued a permit to take the examination.
The Board appoints a set of examiners for every examination.
They must be recognized authorities in teacher education.
Their names shall not be disclosed until after the release of the examination results.
Each examiner receives not less than P5.00 for each examinee as may be determined by the Board, but in no case shall each examiner receive more than P18,000.00 per examination.
Any examiner in the service of the Government shall receive the compensation provided in addition to his salary, notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary.
Examiner names must not be disclosed until after the release of results, promoting confidentiality and integrity of the examination process.
In no case shall each examiner receive more than P18,000.00 per examination.
Not less than P5.00 for each examinee, as may be determined by the Board.
This Decree shall take effect immediately.
