The purpose is to amend Sections 1 and 3 of Executive Order No. 103, Series of 1993, to reorganize and provide adequate private sector representation in the Board of Directors of the John Hay Poro Point Development Corporation (JPDC).
Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 7227 authorizes BCDA to own, hold, and/or administer the military reservation of John Hay Air Station and Wallace Air Station.
JPDC is a body corporate authorized to be formed as the operating and implementing arm of the BCDA to manage the John Hay Special Economic Zone and Poro Point Special Economic and Freeport Zone.
