Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's Executive Order No. 658 grants an additional combat incentive pay of Php150.00 per day to uniformed members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines engaged in actual combat against national security threats, effective July 1, 2007, to enhance their compensation and support their critical role in maintaining internal security.

Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who figure directly in actual combat against insurgent, terrorist, and lawless groups.

The additional combat incentive pay is Php150.00 per day while actually engaged in combat operations.

The additional combat incentive pay is effective July 1, 2007.

They currently receive Php240.00 per month as collateral pay for combat duties.

1) The operation must be for a specific combat mission covered by an Operations Order (OPORD) or a Fragmentary Order (FRAG-O). 2) Personnel must be part of the published task organization of the OPORD. 3) Additional combat incentive pay per individual shall not exceed Php1,500.00 per OPORD/FRAG-O.

The initial funding of Php73,000,000.00 was drawn from the President's Social Fund (PSF).

The Department of National Defense is tasked to prepare and issue the necessary implementation guidelines.

It took effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a national newspaper of general circulation.

They are revoked, amended, or modified accordingly to be consistent with this Executive Order.

Additional funding requirements for 2007 and 2008 shall be coordinated with the Department of Budget and Management and submitted to the Office of the President for approval. Starting fiscal year 2009, appropriations shall be incorporated in the General Appropriations Act.
