QuestionsQuestions (LTO MEMORANDUM)
It provides rules for uniform MVUC collection for initial registration, clarifies when additional MVUC is to be collected, and gives workaround procedures for system update while the LTO system adjusts to the new plate format.
For all plates, a uniform MVUC equivalent to the minimum amount due should be collected upon initial registration, in accordance with the MVUC schedule.
Any additional MVUC due shall be collected upon renewal.
No penalty is imposed, provided that the renewal date does not exceed one year.
It is applicable only for motor vehicles (MVs) assigned with different ending of temporary and actual plates issued.
File an RSU to update the Temporary Plate ending corresponding to the plate ending of the issued plate.
Request another action using the same RSU to set the next registration date to the last day of the month preceding the actual registration month.
Set the next registration date to March 31, 2014 (the last day of the preceding month).
It should include three (3) columns: (1) System Assigned Temporary Plate No., (2) Ending of the Actual Plate Issued, and (3) Next Registration Date.
Column 1 represents the System Assigned Temporary Plate Number.
Column 2 represents the ending of the Actual Plate Issued (i.e., the last two digits of the actual plate).
Column 3 represents the Next Registration Date.
For actual plate issued at Region I, AAK-1024: the system assigned temporary plate ending is shown as 0101-24 (last two digits 24), and the next registration date is set to 31 March 2014, assuming due registration is April 2014.
It states 'For strict compliance,' indicating that the procedures and MVUC collection rules must be followed without deviation.
It is signed by Atty. Alfonso V. Tan, Jr., Assistant Secretary.
