Executive Order No. 10, issued on April 16, 2001, abolishes the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force (PAOCTF) and transfers its functions to the Deputy Chief for Administration (DCA) of the Philippine National Police, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of operations.

The PAOCTF was originally created under Executive Order No. 8 dated July 22, 1998 and was amended by Executive Order No. 295 dated September 28, 2000.

Under the Administrative Code of 1987, the President has the continuing authority to reorganize the Office of the President and to transfer functions from one department or agency to another.

All pending criminal cases instituted by the PAOCTF before the Department of Justice or the courts, as well as other cases undergoing investigation, shall be handled and monitored by the Deputy Chief for Administration (DCA) of the Philippine National Police.

All other criminal cases referred to the Office of the DCA shall be investigated and acted upon accordingly by the said office.

All equipment, properties, documents, and records of the PAOCTF shall be turned over to the Office of the Deputy Chief for Administration (DCA).

The balance of the PAOCTF budget as appropriated under Republic Act No. 8760 shall continue to be used for the purposes mentioned in Sections 2 and 3, which cover handling pending cases and referred criminal cases.

The Office of the Deputy Chief for Administration (DCA) shall formulate the rules and regulations for the implementation of this Executive Order, subject to the approval of the President.

This Executive Order takes effect immediately upon approval.

All orders, rules, regulations, and other issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly.
