Authorization to Increase Personnel

  • The Chief of Hospital must coordinate with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and Civil Service Commission (CSC) to ensure effective and efficient implementation.

Funding Provisions

  • The Provincial Government of La Union and the LUMC are empowered to allocate funds from their respective budgets to support the implementation of the upgrades and expansions.

Department of Health Support

  • The Secretary of Health is directed to include subsidy support for capital outlay requirements of LUMC in the Department of Health’s program to aid in the upgrading effort.

Repeal and Amendment of Conflicting Issuances

  • All existing laws, decrees, ordinances, rules, regulations, executive or administrative orders, and other presidential issuances inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Act will take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication either in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
