Hospital upgrade and resulting facilities
- The Bacoor District Hospital in the City of Bacoor, Province of Cavite is upgraded into a Level III general hospital.
- The upgraded hospital is to be known as the Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital.
- The Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital must be under the direct supervision and control of the Department of Health.
- The hospital’s bed capacity is increased from ten (10) to one hundred (100).
- The law upgrades the hospital’s existing service facilities and professional health care to conform with and be commensurate to the bed capacity increase.
Department of Health implementation and funding
- The Secretary of Health must include in the Department’s program the implementation of Republic Act No. 11233.
- The funding for implementation is included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- The Secretary of Health carries the implementing responsibility tied to the hospital upgrade and capacity increase.
Implementing rules, stakeholder consultation
- The Secretary of Health must prepare the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for Republic Act No. 11233.
- The Secretary of Health must prepare the IRR upon consultation with the Provincial Government of Cavite and other stakeholders.
- The IRR must be implemented consistent with the Hospital Development Plan.
