Key Provisions on License Plate Display (R.A. 4136 Section 18)
- Vehicles must display one license plate on the front and one on the rear in conspicuous places.
- Plates must be clean, well-maintained, firmly affixed, entirely visible, and legible at all times.
Guidelines on Validating Stickers Placement (M.C. 84MC-DIR-002)
- Windshield-validating sticker must be placed on the upper right corner of the windshield.
- Removal of all other old stickers from windshield is required to avoid driver’s view obstruction.
- Year tag stickers must be placed on the designated bottom right slot on the rear license plate.
- All other old year tag stickers must be removed to prevent confusion and ensure visibility.
Enforcement and Penalties
- Law Enforcement Officers and Deputized Agents are directed to apprehend vehicles violating these provisions.
- Penalty for violation is Three Hundred Pesos (Php 300.00) as per Section 20, Department Order No. 93-693 (November 19, 1992).
