Purpose and Scope of the Commission

  • To accept, administer, sell, and dispose of surplus property acquired by the Philippine government from the United States under the September 11, 1946 Agreement.

Powers and Functions of the Commission

  • Accept all properties sold and granted to the Philippines pursuant to the 1946 Agreement.

Abolition and Transfer of Functions

  • Abolished the Government Procurement Commission created under Executive Order No. 85 (January 7, 1946).
  • All functions, properties, records, funds, appropriations, and personnel from the Government Procurement Commission transferred to the Surplus Property Commission.
