Minimum Salary Entitlement
- Household workers are entitled to a minimum monthly salary of US$200.
- This salary is exclusive of food and accommodation, which are provided separately.
Adoption of Standard Employment Contract
- Foreign employers and principals hiring household workers for Saudi Arabia must adopt the attached standard employment contract.
- The contract includes the required terms of employment as established by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
Accreditation and Documentary Requirements for Recruitment Agencies
- Philippine licensed recruitment agencies seeking accreditation for direct employers must submit:
- Verified Special Power of Attorney (SPA) from the direct employer covering the worker’s name, salary, and benefits.
- Verified and duly accomplished employment contract by all concerned parties.
- Visa or equivalent immigration document.
- Full and complete assumption of responsibility by the licensed agency for the household worker deployed.
- Medical examination results proving the worker’s fitness.
- Certificate of Attendance in the Pre Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS).
Repeal of Inconsistent Issuances
- All previous issuances inconsistent with this memorandum circular are repealed.
Administrative Authority
- The guidelines are issued and promulgated by the Administrator of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), ensuring regulatory compliance and protection of deployed household workers.
