Prohibition on Exercising Privileges of Expired Licenses

Conditions for Reinstatement of Expired AMT/AMS Licenses and Ratings

  • For licenses expired within 24 months:
    • Applicant must pass the Civil Aviation Regulation test administered by the Authority.
  • For licenses expired after 24 months but before 60 months:
    • Applicant must pass the Civil Aviation Regulation test.
    • Applicant must also complete appropriate recurrent training.
    • Training must be from an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) or an accredited school/facility recognized by the Authority.
  • For licenses expired after 60 months:
    • Applicant must fulfill all initial application requirements for the AMT/AMS license (effectively treating the application as new).
