Immediate security measures required
- All concerned must develop a security plan for the ship and conduct security drills for all crew members.
- All concerned must strengthen the number of security personnel onboard and must maintain a 24 hours round the clock roving watch while the ship is in port or at anchor.
- All concerned must strictly implement the ID system for all ship’s crew and porters while in ports.
- All motorbanca must be instructed to keep away from the side of the ship while in port or at anchor.
- All concerned must inspect all water barges and tanker barges providing service to the ship prior to shipside to allow the barges to render their services.
Physical readiness and coordination
- All concerned must maintain proper lighting at the side of the ship and the pier.
- All concerned must update contact numbers of police, coastguard, maritime and port authorities, and persons of areas/routes of service ships.
- All concerned must report to proper authorities any suspicious movement of watercraft/banca in the vicinity.
Reporting to MARINA within deadline
- All concerned must submit to MARINA within 5 days from date hereof the security measures undertaken by a region and company.
- The submission must be done on a per ship basis.
- The submission must show compliance with the advisory’s security directives.
Enforcement standard and compliance directive
- The advisory contains a direct instruction for strict compliance by all concerned.
- The directive is expressly framed as an order for all concerned to implement the listed security actions to address the identified threat.
