Validity Period of the SWP

An SWP is valid for a period of three (3) months from the date it is issued.
During this period, the holder of the SWP may provisionally assume the duties and responsibilities of the job position applied for.

Extension of the SWP

The SWP may be extended by the Commission upon the written request of the petitioning company.
Such extension requests must be submitted at least thirty (30) days before the expiration of the SWP.
Extensions are granted only for compelling reasons, ensuring that temporary work authorization is not unduly prolonged.

Governing Authority and Implementation

The provisions are a supplement to previous Law Instruction Nos. 27 and 42 concerning Special Work Permits.
The effective implementation is overseen by the Commission, represented by the Commissioner at the time of issuance.
