Additional Registration Day
- An additional voter registration day is set for November 27, 1977, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- This applies specifically to qualified voters who have not yet registered.
- In areas where the continuing registration system can list unregistered voters without requiring registration at voting centers, COMELEC may allow use of only the continuing system.
- If many applicants remain at the closing time, the Citizens Registration Committee may extend registration beyond 7:00 PM to complete the registration of those present.
Registration Locations and Committees
- Registration will be conducted at the same barangay registration centers used during previous registration days under Presidential Decree No. 1187, as amended.
- The Citizens Registration Committees that operated during prior registrations will again conduct the registration.
Authority to Issue Implementation Rules
- COMELEC is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement this decree effectively.
Effectivity
- The decree takes effect immediately upon its signing on November 18, 1977.
