Territorial Jurisdiction and Capital
- The territory of the newly formed Province of Camiguin corresponds to the existing territory of the Subprovince.
- The Municipality of Mambajao is designated as the capital of the Province of Camiguin.
- Applicable legal frameworks, including the Administrative Code, govern the province's government operations, officer elections, appointments, and remuneration.
Election of Provincial Officials
- The first elective provincial officials of Camiguin shall be elected during the general or local elections scheduled in November 1967.
Congressional Representation
- Camiguin shall have its own Representative in the House of Representatives, to be elected in the November 1969 general elections.
- Until that election, the incumbent Representative of Misamis Oriental will continue to represent the Province of Camiguin.
Transfer of Properties and Obligations
- All funds, obligations, and properties owned by or assigned to the Subprovince of Camiguin shall become the assets and liabilities of the new Province upon its establishment.
Commencement of Corporate Existence
- The corporate existence of the Province of Camiguin begins upon the election and assumption of office by its officials as specified.
Repealing Clause
- All laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are repealed.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
- Notably, this law was enacted without the Executive's approval on June 18, 1966.
