Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel currently assigned to the Golden Acres High School Annex are transferred to the new Golden Acres National High School.
- All assets of the Golden Acres High School Annex become the property of the Golden Acres National High School.
- All liabilities incurred by the annex are transferred and assumed by the new independent school.
- All records pertaining to the annex are also transferred to the new school.
Appropriations and Funding
- The Secretary of Education is mandated to include the operationalization of the Golden Acres National High School in the Department of Education’s program immediately.
- Initial funding for the new school will be drawn from the current year’s appropriations allocated to the Las Piñas National High School, particularly from its Golden Acres High School Annex budget.
- Subsequent necessary appropriations for the continued operation of the Golden Acres National High School will be incorporated in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementation and Rule-Making Authority
- The Secretary of Education is empowered to issue the necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement the provisions of the Act.
- These measures are meant to ensure smooth transition and operationalization of the new national high school.
Effectivity and Publication
- The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
- This provides a clear timeline for the law’s entry into force following its official promulgation.
Legislative Approval and Presidential Assent
- The Act was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on April 5, 2006, and February 19, 2007, respectively.
- The law was signed and approved by the President of the Philippines on May 22, 2007.
- Official documentation and approval were completed by the Secretary of the Senate and the Secretary General of the House of Representatives, ensuring formal legislative process compliance.
